Collaboration/Performance Management System

Collaboration/Performance Management System

Background
From the testing phase to mass production and logistics, various organizations and teams within a company are intertwined, and the processes of manufacturing for today’s companies are very complex. As a more complex cross-functional cooperation is now required, the ability to clearly define the collaboration process is necessary. Collaboration schedules, roles and responsibilities should be managed systematically in order to drive up organizational performance. Therefore, many of the business leaders feel the need for a collaboration and performance management system to effectively manage various collaborations.

Challenge
The company F-one of the biggest manufacturers in Korea aliased as F here - is a manufacturer of cutting-edge products, which also needed a systematic approach to managing various collaborations within the organization. However, there were a number of problems in implementing such a structure.
The first problem was that data with different formats were scattered across multiple systems, and each department needed to go through a complex process to get the desired data from another department. Therefore, sharing of required information among the teams was delayed, and the collaboration process was not managed efficiently.
Secondly, because both structured and unstructured data were intertwined across different teams in both online and offline settings, it was difficult for common relational data models to quickly query and process these highly connected data.
In addition, there was a need to own a visualization platform that could accurately present and analyze the collaboration flow at a glance.

Solution
Bitnine proposed a two-pronged solution to the company F.
First, AgensGraph, a multi-model database that allows both structured and unstructured data to be viewed, processed, and analyzed in a single database, was used to standardize the fragmented data from each department and saved as a network model. The complex collaboration between organizations and departments inside the company F is able to be stored in a network format which then allows the managers to view and manage the collaboration flows and performance indicators with greater transparency and flexibility.
In addition, Bitnine implemented the ability to view, manage, and analyze collaboration processes, as well as the collaboration performance indicators, as an intuitive visualization platform. As a result, the manager can easily observe the status of the necessary collaboration processes and the progress of the project to allow for a successful end product while checking on which activities are completed for each collaboration task.

Benefits
Company F now can easily understand and manage the collaboration processes to make quality products.
The standardized data will promote more streamlined communication between departments, improve organization efficiency, and improve work efficiency, which will lead to the annual cost savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
In addition, by implementing all the data and collaborations of the product manufacturing process in a network structure, managers can observe the whole collaboration flow with transparency. This enables rapid root-cause analysis and response when an issue arises in the production process that can lead to a revolutionary change in the manufacturing process, such as dramatically improved product completeness and shortened delivery time.
